VA Trucking logoNeed Drivers or Diesel Techs?

The Virginia Trucking Association has been approached about sponsoring a series of job fairs for CDL drivers and diesel technicians. Participating in the job fairs will be limited to VTA members only!

Planning has already begun for these events that will tentatively be held in late June. The first locations will likely be in the Richmond and central I-81 corridor areas.

Responses to initial discussions about this idea have been strongly positive and we are hoping for a strong turn-out among employers and, more importantly, candidates. We plan to advertise through participating companies, the Virginia Employment Commission, truck driver and diesel tech training schools and suppliers.
Each participating company will be allowed to have one table top display/exhibit and a maximum of two people in attendance. The events will tentatively be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The VTA needs to know your level of interest in participating in such an event so we can make the appropriate plans and preparations. Please let us know if your company would like to participate in one or more of these job fairs by sending an email to no later than the close of business on Friday, May 19.

Because of space limitations, we may have to limit the number of companies that can participate, depending on the interest. If so, we will invite companies to participate on a first-come, first-serve basis according to the order in which their expression of interest was received.
