Updated Operating Status – Virginia International Gateway
Source: Port of Virginia, June 8, 2016

As of 4:30 p.m. today, our IT team is bringing systems back online and beginning to recover data resources at Virginia International Gateway (VIG). While VIG’s truck gates will remain closed today, intra-terminal activities, including vessel and rail work, will commence this evening.

After soliciting feedback from key members of the cargo owners and motor carrier communities, our operating team announced the following:

• VIG’s truck gates will be open from 0500 – 1800 hours on Thursday, June 9 (inbound portal closure at 1700)
• On Saturday, June 11, we will operate from 0700 – 1800 (inbound portal closure at 1700) – extending the normal gate hours by six hours.

As communicated in a previous message, any available loaded container (at VIG) with a “terminal last free day” on June 8, 2016, will be extended one additional free day, to the account of the ocean carrier.
Any changes to the plans outlined above will be promptly communicated to our customers and partners.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility.
