Tri-Axle Chassis Available via HRCPII (as of Nov. 1, 2017)

The Port of Virginia (POV) listens to its customers and looks for innovative initiatives to strengthen our competitive position. We are pleased to announce a new initiative today.

Effective November 1, 2017, the Hampton Roads Chassis Pool (HRCP II) will add a limited number of 20-foot and 40-foot tri-axle chassis to its current fleet. The daily usage rate will be set at $40, with no free days allowed. Tri-axle billing will occur via the new REZ-1 chassis platform (https://www.rez1.com/). If you would like additional information, or to setup training in the new system, please contact chassis@rez1.com.

These new tri-axle assets will be positioned at Portsmouth’s empty reefer service area (RSA), adjacent to the PPCY. The RSA will serve as the exclusive START/STOP location for the new tri-axles.

A reminder: Specialized equipment cannot be dropped at any POV marine terminal. Non-compliance with this policy will result in repositioning fees to the account of the motor carrier.

If you have any questions regarding this new initiative, please contact Art Ellermann, HRCP’s General Manager, at aellermann@hrcp2.org, or 757-440-5195.
