Three new out-gate lanes for bobtails and bare chassis have been opened at the Chassis Service Area (CSA) at Norfolk International Terminals (NIT). The three new CSA lanes are located under the blue canopy south of the NIT Operations Tower and west of the Driver’s Assistance Building. These lanes can be accessed from 3rd Street.

During this initial phase of operation, these lanes will be specifically reserved for the processing of bobtails and bare chassis only.

At the CSA satellite lanes motor carriers will receive their final EIR for the container brought into the terminal and an EIR for the chassis being taken out, if applicable. After departing the CSA with the final EIR, the chassis can be dropped at the NCY.

Initial Hours of Operation: 5 a.m. until close.
