Gate Lane Closures at NIT South – Nov 14th – 16th

Motor Carrier Partners,

As we move forward with our plans to expand and improve The Port of Virginia’s infrastructure assets, we are pleased to announce additional progress at Norfolk International Terminals (NIT).

Between Tuesday, November 14, and Thursday, November 16, drivers should expect rolling lane closures at the NIT South interchange. Between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., teams will work to remove and realign certain infrastructure features under the gate canopy.

No more than two gate lanes will be closed at any one time.

As the newly-configured lanes re-open, the experience of the individual driver will be unaffected – the transaction process remains the same. The South Gate interchange will operate normally while this work takes place. The new North Gate interchange remains available to all drivers possessing PRO-PASS RFID tags.

Thank you for your flexibility and support.
