As volumes continue to improve, we want to ensure that cargo is accessible, and the supply chain is fluid, coming out of the Labor Day weekend.

For the week of September 7 – 11, please be advised of the following:

Monday, Sept. 7 – Labor Day

• State and federal holiday
• Restricted ILA holiday
• All Port of Virginia terminals and offices CLOSED
• The creation and editing of TRS reservations will be unavailable on Monday, September 7

Tuesday, September 8 – Friday, September 11

• Norfolk International Terminals (NIT) and Virginia International Gateway (VIG) will remain open one hour later
o Portal closure at 1700 hours
o Final reefer pick-up at 1630 hours
o No change to TRS mandatory hours – ending at 1500 hours each day
• Pinners Point Container Yard (PPCY) will remain open one hour later
o Last empty container delivery and pick-up at 1730 hours
• Portsmouth Chassis Yard (PCY) will remain open one hour later
o Last in-gate trucks at 1730 hours
• Reefer Service Area (RSA) will remain open one hour later
o Last empty container delivery and pick-up at 1730 hours

Gate hours at Newport News Marine Terminal, Richmond Marine Terminal and the Virginia Inland Port are unchanged.

These expanded gate hours are in effect from Sept. 8 – 11. Traditional gate hours will resume on Monday, Sept. 14.
