The VPA has issued the following:
Clarifying Saturday Gate and TRS Policies (May 8 – June 5)
Trucking Partners,

An online version of this message can be found here: Clarifying Saturday Gate and TRS Policies (May 8 – June 5)

As you know, the port is now offering limited Saturday gate hours, through June 5. This decision was made in order to offer greater flexibility to our customers and partners, ensuring efficient access to cargo.

On May 4, we delivered a public message stipulating that prior day reservations would be required for all future Saturday transactions. Members of the trucking community, including the Pier Committee, expressed concerns regarding those requirements. We listened to those concerns and we are pleased to revise our Saturday gate polices, as detailed below.

Effective immediately, for the remaining Saturday gates through June 5, please be advised of the following:

• Prior day reservations are REQUIRED to pull import loads on Saturdays
• Same day reservations will be accepted for export loads and empty returns** on Saturdays
o **Governed by the Empty Return Matrix
• For import loads, Saturday reservations must be created by 2000 hours on the preceding day (Friday)
• For import loads, no new reservations will be allowed after 2000 hours on Fridays
o Edits to existing reservations, such as changing a license plate, will still be allowed

These requirements are designed to ensure the most efficient service levels for drivers conducting Saturday transactions. Thank you for your understanding and partnership.

Questions may be directed to our PRO-PASS TRS Team at, or 757-292-4545.
